1973 - Gary Owen establishes Owen Detection
1997 - Surpasses 1000 customers
2001 - Justin Owen becomes the company's Outside Sales Representative
2008 - Owen Detection rebrands as Owen Security Solutions
2012 - Justin Owen becomes President & Owner of Owen Security Solutions
2013 - Celebrates 40 years of business
2015 - Moves headquarters to 209 S Wall St in Calhoun's Historic Downtown District and establishes first branch office in Cartersville, GA
2016 - Acquires Davis Security (Woodstock, GA), Tight Security Systems (Ellijay, GA), & Medley Systems (Plainville, GA)
2017 - Acquires ASC Security (Rome, GA) & DAS Security (Canton, GA), becomes a Member of the SDM 100, and establishes branch office in Dalton, GA & Rome, GA
2018 - Completes acquisitions of Ellis Services (Rome, GA), Williams Alarm (Lindale, GA), and Robinson Door & Security (Rome, GA). Named 2018 Small Business of the Year by the Cartersville-Bartow County Chamber of Commerce.
2019 - Awarded 2019 Installer of the Year Award by Security Sales & Integration's SAMMY Awards.
2020 - Acquires Cartersville branch of Priority One Security, Inc., Named 2020 SDM Top Systems Integrators.
2022 - Acquires Actio Security
2022 - Awarded DMP Small Business Dealers
